Youth Frontiers is a NSW Government Youth Mentoring Program targeting students between 12-16 years, who have the capacity to benefit from youth mentoring that focuses on positive relationship development, leadership & community engagement. A great opportunity to make a difference to the life of a young person. Meet other like-minded adults, learn new skills and contribute to your community while having lots of fun. Mentors will be matched with an individual student/s and together they will take part in at least 10 hours of one on one mentoring during school hours. The program gives volunteers an opportunity to build life skills & self-confidence by working collaboratively with their mentors, students to undertake a community project that make a positive difference in their local community. The program will culminate in a showcase where students will present the results of their community projects. Mentors do not require previous experience-just a desire to want to support young people to reach their potential and an ability to commit to volunteering 1-2 hours each week over a 6 month period during school hours.
