Packaging Volunteer
Waverley Industries-BVRCThe Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Waverley Industries.
This is a volunteering opportunity with a major packaging company who provide supported employment opportunities for people with special needs, in particular intellectually disabled adults. Volunteers will be helping our employees. Minimum 4 hour shifts are available.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Count and pack
- Collate materials for mail out
- Assemble parts/package materials
- Liaise with group supervisor to prepare work
- Assist/instruct workers with tasks
- Assist with quality control
Skills and Experience:
- Friendly disposition
- Sense of humour
- Flexible and hardworking
- Discreet
- Patient
- Literacy and numeracy are essential
- The ability to communicate clearly is desirable
- Ability to follow directives is essential
- Recording basic information/form filling is also desirable
