Bush For Life Field Volunteer – Group Activities
Trees For LifeBush For Life empowers and connects the community to enjoy, advocate and care for our precious bushland. We support people to make a positive on-ground impact, creating an environmental legacy and giving hope for the future. Bushcare (Bush For Life) sites are located around the Adelaide metropolitan area, Mount Lofty Ranges, the mid-North, Fleurieu Peninsula and across to Murray Bridge. Bushcare is a practice that encourages natural regeneration by removing isolated weeds that compete with our native plants for space, food & water.
There are 1-2 Bush Action Team (BAT) days running each week. Each BAT will run from 9am – 3.30pm. Catch our bus from our Brooklyn Park Office or from designated pick up points en route, or meet us on site. You are welcome to come for half a day if you wish, but you will need to organise your own transport.
The activity would be suitable for anybody who is in general good health, there is no heavy work, but there is bending and squatting involved as well as walking a short distance to the site over uneven ground.
