Puffing Billy Railway is in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, the train meanders from Belgrave to Gembrook transverses lush fern gullies and tranquil rainforests. It passes looming mountain ash trees and rolling paddocks. We would love to have your team assist us in removing introduced species such as holly, ivy, sycamore maples and other weeds. Trains run every day of the year with the exception of Christmas Day. We are easy to get to by car, train or bus.

Sadly over the 100 years plus since the railway was first established the environment has been contaminated by introduced species such as holly, ivy and sycamore maples. Our Environmental Restoration Program (ERP) aims to remove any introduced species which threaten to destroy indigenous flora. As a volunteer in the ERP you will assist in the removal of weeds damaging to this fragile and beautiful area.
