Eastern Curlew Habitat Restoration - Curlew Island
Conservation Volunteers AustraliaCome and join the team on the idyllic Curlew Island as we remove invasive weeds to improve important habitat areas for these birds. This beautiful site is a short boat ride from Labrador Boat Ramp at the Gold Coast and is a very popular location for Eastern Curlews during their summer visits.
This is a great opportunity to learn about an endangered species that lives in our own backyard as well as gain practical hands on skills in conservation. No prior experience is necessary, our friendly team leaders will teach you everything that you need to know on the day!
Please remember to wear long pants, a long sleeved shirt, enclosed shoes, a hat, sunglasses and please bring your lunch and plenty of water.
