Training and orientation will be provided.
Volunteers are required to prepare filled rolls and wraps to order, at a fundraising street food cart at lunchtime on Saturdays at Marrickville. The food varies each week and might include kebabs, sausages, bacon, eggs and a vegetarian option. Various ethnic street food is included from time to time. All funds raised are used to rescue fresh unsold bread from bakeries, slice and package it, and deliver it to those who need it.

All equipment and supplies will be provided. This position is available on Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm plus setup and cleanup time. Volunteers are asked to work at least one Saturday every month, and to demonstrate reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude.
Main Responsibilities: • Prepare hand food to order and present it in an attractive and hygienic way • Take payment and make change accurately and efficiently • Maintain a clean and safe workplace
Skills Required:: • Ability to handle food in a safe and consistent manner • A commitment to honesty and transparency in handling money • Ability to work with the public and other volunteers with a minimum of supervision
Conversational English required. Minimum age is 18 years.
