Registered volunteers are welcome to apply to attend two training days Day 1 is Thursday 9th March 2023 and Day 2 is Friday 24th March 2023. Both days will be required to gain a certificate of completion. You will learn skills you need to support a person who is confused, has dementia or delirium and is in a hospital setting.

The idea of the course is to build a volunteer program where there will be onsite assistance for confused older persons in the hospital setting at Maitland, Kurri Kurri and Cessnock.

Morning tea and lunch breaks will be provided and course notes, speakers etc are included.

Registered volunteers who would like to continue in the hospital system providing assistance will be issued with a t-shirt ($20 deposit required) and access to patient support tools provided (terms and conditions apply).
