This role is based at the Goolwa Rescue Centre and involves supervising the operation at the Centre and looking after many of the admin tasks involved in running such a facility, such as keeping on top of stock levels, ordering, assisting with volunteer management and records management. It would also involve assisting with some feeding, treatments and cleaning, and working with other volunteers.
To ensure continuity and that the role is carried out again a commitment of around 15 hours (eg 3 mornings) per week is sought, but times could be negotiated for the right person and extensive training and support will be provided. The rewards are learning new skills and helping our Fleurieu Wildlife, working with a very dedicated small team and knowing you are ‘making a difference’, and of course enjoying those times when animals are successfully released back where they came from after treatment.
