The NRL Cowboys House is a boarding facility for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who are from rural and remote locations where access to high school education is unavailable. Volunteer Gardeners play an important role at NRL Cowboys House, ensuring gardens and green spaces flowing through the facility are well-kept and support our students to be proud of their home away from home. Working individually or in small groups, our volunteer green thumbs perform a wide range of gardening and landscaping duties to maintain and beautify our grounds. This includes:

• Seeding, planting, pruning and trimming plants and trees,

• Weeding and applying natural pesticides,

• Laying mulch and removing green waste.

Our volunteer gardeners are physically fit and enjoy working outdoors while caring for the environment. There is some flexibility in days and hours of participation and work may be unsupervised at times. All volunteer gardeners require a valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and must complete our confidentiality clause prior to commencement.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
