ESL teachers for adult refugees - Westminster, Koondoola
Mercy Connect WAVolunteers are needed to assist non-English mother tongue adult speakers to develop their English language skills in a classroom setting. Assistance is also offered to apply for jobs, understand forms etc. A caring and supportive volunteer, who is willing to build a trusting relationship, can make the world of difference by assisting someone to build confidence and self esteem. The English classes are run at primary and secondary schools in the north-eastern suburbs of Perth. Volunteers are expected to attend for two hours per week, during school hours, for the school year. Experience in teaching English as an Additional Language/Dialect to adults is preferred. Applications are now open for our next training session on 23rd and 24th of February 2022.
