The Community Visitors scheme (CVS) is a national program funded by the Australian Government. CVS aims to enrich the quality of life of older people living in the community. Community visitors are matched by the Coordinator to a Home Care client, taking into account interests and background.

We are seeking volunteers in the North of the state. Community visitors will need to commit to visiting the Home Care client weekly or at least once a fortnight. Visits should be spent doing something you both enjoy - chat, reminisce, watch TV/DVD, or perhaps go for a walk together or an outing. The activities will depend on the health of the client.

Sharing your time and interests will make a difference helping them feel better about themselves and enjoy their life more.
