Experience with loading/maintaining web pages (or willingness to learn via formal training/mentoring. Familiarity with Facebook and capacity to use it effectively. Computer skills in Publisher and other appropriate programs. Current drivers licence and willingness to use own car in the course of volunteer role. Knowledge/understanding of copyright requirements. Sensitivity to what is appropriate material to use on media pages. Must be prepared to work under the guidelines of the Uniting Church Social Media Policy. National Police Certificate required.

Volunteers in this role will manage the Newland Memorial web page including seeking appropriate copyright and permissions for materials to be posted, collect and collate material for publication which at times may include soliciting appropriate articles and photographs, manage the Newland Facebook page including identifying appropriate strategies and timings to post items on the page, promote coming evens in the life of the congregation and events to be held by others in the church through advertisement and articles in publications such as The Times, develop flyers and brochures to publicise coming events and manage an archive of publicity that has been developed so that it may be referred to in the future and reused as is appropriate
