CFS Volunteer - McLaren Vale
SA Country Fire Service (CFS)Due to the planned extension of the McLaren Vale CFS Brigade there is a rare opportunity to become a part of a team providing emergency services to the local community.
There are many roles that a volunteer can participate in regardless of age or gender.
As a volunteer you will work side by side with other volunteers in times of emergency and learn new and valuable skills that will assist you in your day-to-day life and your workplace.
Opportunities exist for volunteers to advance to more senior positions based on competency and commitment.
As part of the McLaren Vale CFS Brigade you will have the opportunity to be involved in:
- Local, State and National bushfire response
- Search and rescue
- Road crash rescue
- Storm damage and flooding
- Assisting other agencies such as SA Police and the State Emergency Service (SES)
- Animal rescue
- Community education and initiatives
Regardless of the role(s) you wish to undertake the CFS will provide full training by experienced and qualified trainers.
