Anyone that has recovered from a personal experience of perinatal mental illness with a passion to raise awareness can apply to be a Community Champion. By personal experience we mean that you have experienced perinatal anxiety and/or depression or postnatal psychosis or supported a partner through their experience.

What can you do as a PANDA Community Champion? Community Champions conduct activities online and in their local communities to help raise awareness of perinatal anxiety, depression and postnatal psychosis; promote PANDA's services and raise vital funds for PANDA.

There are a number of different activities you can choose to get involved with to suit your personal interests, skills and availability which range from distributing PANDA resources; sharing your story on our website or via the media; hosting awareness/fundraising events and getting involved with research and development.

Find out more about Community Champion activities on our website!

How does the program work? As a virtual volunteer program it's designed to be flexible so you can get involved as and when time permits. The will to help, along with computer access, is all you need!

How to apply Your wellbeing is the most important thing so please think about where you are in your recovery journey before applying. PANDA Community Champions have to be recovered to get involved in raising awareness especially when sharing their personal experience.

Please read the PANDA Community Champions position description and fill in our application form (the link will be sent to you after expressing your interest). From there we'll review your application and you may be invited for a phone or video interview to discuss the program and explore your interests and readiness in your recovery in more depth. We look forward to hearing from you!

Equity and diversity are integral to PANDA and we are continually working towards attracting and retaining a diverse workforce that represent and support community we serve. Applications from people of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, Dads, young parents, people with disabilities, people who identify as LGBTIQ, and people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent, are strongly encouraged.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
