We are looking for volunteers who enjoy cooking and meeting others to help at our free community lunch in Fawkner. Help us slice, dice and serve a delicious vegetarian lunch. Stick around after lunch to lend a hand with the clean up. Together we will bring the community together whilst tackling food waste!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

1. Commit to 10am - 2.30pm on the 2nd Saturday each month
2. Report to the Event Coordinator at the commencement of a shift and undertake tasks as directed, including:

• Assist in event promotion (including local flyer distribution and installing posters and signage),
• Assist in setting up the venue (including table and chair arrangement, food buffet setup and Open Table display materials),
• Assist in preparing, cooking and serving meals under the supervision of the Lead Cook,
• Welcome and engage attendees as they arrive, and contribute to a safe and inclusive environment,
• Assist in venue cleanup, with Open Table property securely stored in designated area

1. Comply with all relevant laws and regulations and carry out all activities in accordance with best safety practices
2. Comply with Open Table’s policies and procedures
