Port Phillip Youth Services is looking for enthusiastic volunteers interested in joining FReeZA’s Unsigned Youth Committee to help organise and deliver live music, parties and other cultural, recreational and artist events that are drug, alcohol and smoke free. No qualifications are needed, except for a passion to learn.

We host events in collaboration with St Kilda Festival, St Kilda Film Festival, Live N Local Festival, St Kilda Eco-Festival and with artists like Mallrat, Woodes, Sophiegrophy, Japanese Wallpaper, Slowly Slowly, Eilish Gilligan and heaps more.

FReeZA Youth Committee gives young people the opportunity to: • learn about the music industry, • receive mentoring from musicians and artists, • gain experience and skills in event planning and management • build your resume while meeting new people • receive free training and free entry to all FReeZa events • plan fun and awesome events that are run by YOU.

Key Requirements: • interest or experience in event management / planning* (if no experience willingness to learn is a must) • a love for live music and the arts • must be aged 16 to 24 years • live, work or study in City of Port Phillip • be able to come to regular meetings

Responsibilities may include but not limited to: • the planning and management of music and arts events • booking of performers – bands, DJS and other artists, venues and vendors • audio visual / sound production • promotion and marketing support • coordination with other members and tasks of the committee • providing support on the day of events
