About Us: Ronald McDonald House North Australia provides accommodation for families of seriously ill and injured children. We proudly represent a growing population in North Australia and support a number of different families from all backgrounds; from the Outback to the Cape and some overseas families.

All guests, staff and volunteers embrace the special gifts and experience of each other and we are all focused on enabling the children to live healthier, happier lives. Though, without the many talents of our amazing Volunteers - our Charity will not be the amazing place it is.

The Role: The purpose of this dynamic and fundamentally critical role is to participate in activities relating to public relations, fundraising and Events within Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia to ensure we are able to continuously support and provide a comfortable, cheerful refuge for the families and children who required our services.

The Position: • To actively promote the charity at specified events and act as a representative of the Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia • To facilitate program tours with community groups • To engage the community with fundraising actions at community events • Liaising with corporate independent sponsors and donors as well as external stakeholders as directed • Reporting and resourcing within the Community Relations space

The Person: • A friendly, nurturing, trustworthy, patient, compassionate, tolerant, reliable and vigilant character • Volunteers performing this role must be able to demonstrate a history of skilled, accident free driving • Open and accepting of diversity; able to demonstrate empathy • Emotionally stable and resilient to potential high pressure scenarios • Customer orientated, outgoing, confident and proactive • Team player whilst able to work autonomously • Good communicator, able to engage with a wide range of people • Committed to understanding and contributing to the Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia Mission and Vision • Able to adhere to policies and procedures • Able to maintain strict confidentiality • Be able to seek guidance when required
