Brunswick Neighbourhood House is looking for a volunteer to assist our Reading and Writing English class on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings 9.30 am -12.30 pm. The volunteer would assist the class by working with more advanced students. The volunteer will be given work sheets by the tutor to work through with the students, but some initiative will also be required as students often request additional assistance with grammar. This opportunity requires formal knowledge of the English language and/or some ESL training.

There is an option to commit to only one or two for the three days, or all three as desired.

This opportunity would suit someone who has recently completed their training as a English Language teacher and is looking for hands on experience with guidance provided by a professional teacher. It would also suit someone who has previous experience teaching an English Language class but who would prefer not to coordinate a class.

The English students the volunteer will work with are all literate, but require assistance with improving their grammar, reading and writing skills.
