With our house at the heart, we deliver programs that support the health, education and wellbeing of seriously ill children and their families.

The Ronald McDonald Family Room is located on level 2 at the Sydney Children’s Hospital and within a ward at Royal North Shore Hospital. The Family Room is a home-away-from-home inside a hospital setting and provides the opportunity for families to take a break, have a nap, check their emails, do some in-house washing and sit down with a nice cup of tea.

The role of the volunteer includes meeting and greeting families, housekeeping, baking, setting up and assisting with functions and events. Our volunteers provide the help and support needed so families are able to focus on what really matters - their family.

We have many available shifts throughout the week and at the weekend. Shifts are 3 hours long and we require either a weekly or fortnightly commitment.

Skills required:
