Board members - Riding for the Disabled Association of Tasmania Inc
Riding for the Disabled Assoc. of Tasmania IncRiding for the Disabled Association of Tasmania Inc. (RDAT) is a volunteer organisation that provides opportunities for people living with disabilities to participate in therapeutic equestrian activities. We have 30-40 clients across the state, and about 70 volunteers, who provide a safe and well organised environment for both horses and riders and have been operation in Tasmania since 1975.
The Board oversees the governance of RDA Tasmania at a state level and ensures our compliance with national policies and practices. We would welcome enquiries from people who have the time and skills to devote to RDA Tasmania and who are prepared to learn about the organisation and the communities it serves.
We are looking to recruit one or two additional, experienced Board members (we currently have five Board members). Whilst Board members undertake varied tasks in ensuring the strategic direction of the organisation, including community engagement, marketing and fund raising, finance, grant writing and project management, the Board is currently seeking applications from interested parties with backgrounds in (a) the disabilities sector and (b) communications & marketing.
