The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Avalon Centre.

Avalon Centre has an opportunity for putting your social media and video-making skills to use to help raise the social media profile and awareness for the Centre.

The Avalon Centre are looking for your help to record special moments on social media and so that they can be seen "in action". These would be short videos (30-60 seconds) using a phone or similar device. The videos need to promote not just what and how they do everything, but to bring life to the people they help, the volunteers, and to show real-time precious moments.

Key tasks:

• Recording short videos and posting on social media sites.
• the short videos will be filmed when you come along on day trips, drop-in days and just generally tag along with the team as they go about meeting the unmet needs of our community and showing the world what big ideas can achieve.

Key skills or experience:

• Video making using phone or similar device, social media, multimedia
• The Centre caters for disadvantaged, disabled, homeless and /or people requiring support. This requires a caring, fun, happy-go-lucky attitude, a sense of humour and patience!!
