Monthly collection of food orders from Foodbank Victoria as per rostered - approximately 5 hours Monday mornings at DIVRS working with the Fresh Food team in the cultivation, preparation and distribution of Fresh Food - approximately 3-4 hours

Key Position Objective:
-To collect and transport monthly food orders from Foodbank Victoria used in the DIVRS Foodstore Emergency Relief Service.
-To coordinate the transfer of food into Foodstore accordingly.
-To assist Foodstore Coordinator in the distribution of monthly Coles delivery and continued supply of food items for the Foodstore in the DIVRS Emergency Relief Service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-To assist Foodstore Coordinator in the ordering of food within budget allocation.
-To assist with regular pick up of food items from donors including Foodbank Victoria, Baker’s Delight and fresh fruit & vegetables from the Salvation Army Food Hub at agreed suitable times
-To assist in the processing and display of fresh food, fruit and vegetables
-Support the storage and stocking of food in the Foodstore.
-To work in partnership with the Foodstore Coordinator in recording donations.

DIVRS’ programmes are designed to support and strengthen communities and increase community participation across the whole of Darebin. Core functions undertaken by the organisation include the provision of information, support, emergency relief, tax assistance, learning to drive (L2P) Programme, Urban Food Programme includes the delivery and development of the Darebin Fruit Squad and Backyard Basics Projects, and volunteer resource Programme (Volunteer recruitment and placement). The organisation is governed by a Committee of Management who employs a Manager to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the organisation.
