We are aiming to provide nutritious, hygienically prepared and healthy food at an affordable and reasonable price with menu options.

As a volunteer in our School canteen tasks you will be responsible for are: • Preparation of ingredients for meals to be served to the students at both recess and lunch • Cooking of “mini treats” for recess and “hot main meal” for lunch time; • Helping to plan for healthy ideas for food for students; • Use food preparation and food handling skills to minimise waste; • Follow procedures and processes regarding food safety to ensure that correct food handling and hygiene practices are performed to prevent food spoilage, contamination and subsequent food poisoning; • Inform the Canteen Manager on duty if any stock is running low or needs to be re-ordered; • Following WH&S procedures to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all in the canteen. • Undertake cleaning in relation to your work area; • Logging any maintenance issues with the Canteen Manager; • Contributing to a pleasant working environment for the volunteers; • Ensure that the students are treated with respect and dignity and should any issues arise, these will be immediately reported to the Canteen Manager.

Time required: 9.30 – 11.30am, Monday to Friday
