The Depression Support Network (DSN) is looking for a volunteer to come into the centre for one or more days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday), make tea and coffee and chat with people. The main responsibility of the Information Referral Officer is to refer customers to local services, e.g. law advice and other government services. Provision of a free, confidential and impartial information and referral service to clients in person and by telephone.
A wonderful volunteer is required to keep a lady who lives in an aged care facility company. We are looking for someone special who loves to have a cup of tea and a chat and perhaps do an activity together.
* VOLUNTEERS MUST BE PARENTS TO CHILDREN WITH ALCOHOL & DRUG ISSUES * With the lived experience of supporting your own child (teenager or adult) through the rigours of substance misuse and with the desire to support other parents going though similar challenges with their children, you will use active listening skills to support, talk through options and offer hope to parents calling the State-wide Parent and Family Drug Support Line.
