Animal Care Attendant duties may include but not limited to:
Cleaning animal cages and pens plus replenishing fresh water and straw.
Feeding animals, walking animals, changing/moving animal pens or looking after sick animals.
Requirement to work within Workplace Health and Safety Guidelines and be happy to work alone or part of a team.

Working in a group and with other staff members you will assist participating residents with seating in appropriate positions on the bus and in other venues in the community they may visit. You will assist in ensuring the residents safety at all times and follow the direction of the staff on the day.
Working within a large organisation Volunteer Shop Assistants are required for immediate start. The position includes a wide variety of retail duties - sorting, pricing and presentation of stock for a charity second hand store. (C, D)

Working alone, in a group or with other staff members you will be assisting in landscaping the Big Ears property, which may include: planting, lawn mowing, weeding, pruning, trimming and rubbish removal.

The club are seeking a number of volunteers, working on a rotating roster to organise the stadium set up in preparation for game night and pack down at the end.

Design Tasmania are looking for volunteers to provide front of house services - introducing visitors to our iconic galleries, temporary exhibitions and the Design Tasmania Wood Collection. Other duties may include supporting workshops and events, guided tours of the exhibitions, processing of entry fees, catalogues and other items.
The Deloraine & Districts Folk Museum is co-located with the Great Western Tiers Visitor Centre at 98-100 Emu Bay Road, Deloraine. It focuses on the horse drawn era and our early pioneering history. The Family & Commercial Inn is set up as it may have looked in 1864 when it was the local ale house. The museum is housed in an award winning garden with a Pioneer Walk where you can view reproduction and reclaimed buildings showcasing the lives, tools and farming equipment of our early settlers.

Pearns Steam World are located in the historic town of Westbury, just 25 minutes drive west of Launceston. The museum holds a collection of steam traction engines, tractors, stationary engines and agricultural memorabilia, including women in agriculture on display. We are looking for a volunteers to maintain and develop the gardens and grounds surrounding the museum. (C)
Love children and have some space in your heart and home to help a young person? Volunteer Foster Carers provide short term, long term, emergency or respite care for children who are unable to live in their own home for a variety of reasons. (C, D)

Pearns Steam World Museum are located just 25 minutes out of Launceston in the historic town of Westbury and has one of the largest collection of steam engines and other mechanical artifacts in Australia. We are looking for someone with mechanical aptitude to revive and care for some of these historical pieces in our collection. (C)

Vinnies Food Van is a free mobile service that provides those experiencing or are at risk of homelessness, marginalisation and social isolation with food & drinks, information and support and are looking for volunteers who can work Saturday and or/Sunday evenings. (C, D)

Craft or Knitting or Sewing or Art Volunteers - Working with other staff members you will assist participating residents to craft items of interest to them - e.g. scarves, blanket squares, cushion covers or maybe sewing on a button, tapestry or painting. (D)
Would you like to read the newspapers/books or teach a resident about their computer and Ipad? Play cards or board games or just taking a walk? Working alone, in a group and/or with other staff members you will assist participating residents with reading or read to them articles from the newspaper, magazines or books. You may assist a resident with their computer/Ipad or you may like to take the resident for a walk and/or reminisce with them about their life stories. (D)
Do you love having an animal to care for at home and passionate about animal welfare?
Then the volunteer Foster Animal Carer role with "Just Cats" may be just what you are looking for!
Volunteering for foster cats and/or kittens is a rewarding and enriching experience and essential to enable the organisation to continue their care and rescue operations in Northern Tasmania. (C, Y, D)
