Saturday 16th - Sunday 17th of May - Shift times flexible to suit you!
Angels Hope require individuals to run in fun runs in their local areas etc to bring awareness of the devastating effects bullying/abuse can have on the local communities and how kindness can be a major contributing factor to lowering the current suicide rates and if you wish to raise funds as volunteers that would be appreciated.
There would be opportunities to link in with local news papers and social media etc with this marketing campaign.
The club are seeking a number of volunteers, working on a rotating roster to organise the stadium set up in preparation for game night and pack down at the end.

Pearns Steam World Museum are located just 25 minutes out of Launceston in the historic town of Westbury and has one of the largest collection of steam engines and other mechanical artifacts in Australia. We are looking for someone with mechanical aptitude to revive and care for some of these historical pieces in our collection. (C)

As the Volunteer Manager you will be responsible for ensuring adequate volunteers are available to meet the needs of the Games including recruitment, screening, induction and training. The role will have overall responsibility for ensuring volunteers supporting the games have a positive experience, are effective in their roles and athletes have an amazing games.
The Venue Manager will be responsible for coordinating all activities at their allotted venue during the games. This person will work alongside volunteer Managers and existing venue management to ensure the smooth running of games operations at that venue and efficient handover after the event.
The Transport Manager will be responsible for developing and managing a transportation plan that will provide a safe and efficient transportation service for all Junior National Games constituents
The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for the overall planning and management of food services for athletes, officials and volunteers at all venues, ensuring optimal nutrition, quality, quantity and service, while meeting all special dietary and allergy requirements.
The Accreditation Manager is responsible for ensuring that all agreed constituents receive the appropriate accreditation for the 2010 Special Olympics Junior National Games.
The Accommodation Manager is responsible for the overall planning and management of the accommodation requirements for the Games. To include allocation of accommodation requirements for official delegations (Athletes, Coaches, Carers) in comfortable, safe, athlete-friendly accommodation, and ensure a consistent level of service at all venues.
