Many Home Care clients living in their own homes in southern Tasmania are lonely. Why not be a part of a team of like minded people who can spare an hour a week/fortnight volunteering with Lifeline Tasmania's Community Visitors Scheme. The main responsibility of this volunteer job is to drive the Chats 12 seater vehicle to transport participants. The two main types of activities requiring transport are: bus trips and participant transport (for clubs, regular outings and other activities).
The main responsibility of this volunteer role is to help participants to develop the social connection through listening and conversation, and to get participants to be actively involved in different activities (regular outings, bus trips, Chats clubs, Art group, etc.) to increase their social connections and independence.
Activity Host within the Chats Social Support Program. The aim of the role is to assist Chats participants to engage in a variety of social activities and ensure the activity runs smoothly.
