Everything from changing doorknobs, Installing washing machines, minor painting touch ups and helping out our fabulous and cheerful support staff wherever possible so that they can focus on what they do best which is helping our guests end their homelessness.
Use pneumatic and electric tools to remove rust and scale off metal surfaces and then apply paint correctly. You'll be both improving the appearance of the vessel but also stopping any deterioration.

The main jobs will be returning to full operation 3 Mirrless generators as well as maintaining several Petter back up engines (fire pump, air compressor and generator as well as a second back up generator. ) You'll be allowing to further educate the public on how a ship operated as well as inspire people intrested in a career in mechanical repair.
To assist around the historic MV Cape Don. A former lighthouse tender now a museum and training ship. You'll work with the different tradesmen and deck crew onboard restoring the ship.
Working under our senior radio room volunteer you'll be restoring historic radio equipment back to life to show the public how communication at sea developed.
