This Volunteer Role reports to the Regional Coordinator (RC). The purpose of the role is to assist individuals with disability, mental illness, injury or health conditions to remove and overcome barriers that hinder their success on a daily basis.

Do you want to inspire the next generation of young women? Beacon Foundation is now recruiting volunteer mentors for our online mentoring program, MyRoad. As a volunteer mentor, you'll guide mentees through structured modules on transferable work-readiness skills and inspire them to think about different types of jobs and careers. The young women you'll mentor are typically from lower socio-economic areas or remote and regional locations in Years 10 to 12.
The Youth Transitions Mentor is assigned to a young person that has transitioned from St Francis FLC into employment, study, or training, and provides: 1. Holistic support of young people post-transition from St Francis FLC 2. Contributing to the development and implementation of the FLC’s objectives and planning. 3. Contributing to the establishment and maintenance of support post-St Francis FLC
Aurous requires the help of peer mentors to assist seniors to utilise digital technologies to facilitate social connection. All that is required is patience and a basic understanding of digital technologies--if you can use a smart phone or tablet for personal use and have enough patience to show someone else then you have what it takes and we can teach you the rest.
