This Volunteer Role (DES) reports to the Regional Coordinator (RC). The purpose of the role is to assist individuals with disability, mental illness, injury or health conditions to maintain sustainable employment in the open labour market. The Volunteer will provide person centred assistance that will vary depending on the individual needs of each participant to achieve greater social inclusion through workforce participation and training.
This role involves working with a supervisor to plan and prepare for fundraising events. The volunteer could assist with up to 4 events over a year. Tasks required may include canvassing donations, set up and pack up, running errands such as picking up supplies and catering, liaising with venue staff, preparing invites, drafting correspondence etc. The volunteer is able to work independently in his or her own location and time and will report to a supervisor for support and review.
This role involves taking pre-existing documents (flyers, grant submissions, volunteer handbook, social media posts and similar documents) and working to improve the layout and appearance of the documents.
