Broncos 50:50 Charity game round is happening in 2023 and we are looking for some awesome volunteers to come along and help out with the below fundraising activities on the day!
Everyone is welcome to volunteer at parkrun events. We have heaps of fun, simple and rewarding opportunities to lend a hand for one to two hours on a Saturday morning at parkrun events across Australia. No training is required, roles are fully supported on the day and you can take part as often or as little as you would like. You can volunteer as a marshal, timekeeper, photographer or try your hand at scanning barcodes and handing out tokens…..to name a few of the roles we have available.
Cooinda Aged Care in Gympie has a small café/coffee shop that serves its residents during the day. They are looking to train a cheerful volunteer to make coffees, serve simple food, undertake light cleaning duties and run the cash register.

These include, painting, drawing, textiles or sculpture. You have the opportunity to lead or be part of a team. Warehousing entails some lifting of furniture and other items to restock our shop and also when sold to assist customer with the item or store in the warehouse. Truck Off-sider will assist loading and unloading furniture. Travelling in the truck and assisting loading donated furniture and unloading at warehouse.
The Retail/Counter Staff position will entail interaction with the local community by serving on our counter. You will be trained to use our Cash Register and gain retail skills. You will also be restocking our shop and displaying items.

As a Social Engagement Volunteer at St Vincent’s Care - Gympie, you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team. Companion Volunteers visit residents 1:1 on a weekly or fortnightly basis. These visits are particularly special for residents who may be feeling lonely or social isolated.
As a Games & Activities Volunteer at St Vincent’s Care - Gympie, you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team, supporting residents to participate in a variety of meaningful and fun recreational activities. Activities can include playing games, arts and crafts, movie events, bus trips and much more.
As a Pet Therapy Volunteer at St Vincent’s Care - Gympie, you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team. Pet Therapy Volunteers visit residents with their animal on a weekly or fortnightly basis for 1 – 2 hours each visit. These visits are special for many residents who will greatly enjoy a visit from a furry friend. Visiting animals must be well groomed, gentle, and respond well to people. All animals are assessed by the local team for suitability.
The co-facilitator for the Townsville Group helps participants to share their experiences of living with chronic pain, promotes self-management techniques, reduces isolation and assist with healthcare system navigation. Meetings are once per month.
This is a Mobility Equipment Hire Service and we are looking for a volunteer to provide people in need with a range of mobility equipment and personal care aids.
