WA Wildlife's Recovery Ward program is for anyone interested in rehabilitating wildlife (there are no pre-requisites). Recovery Ward volunteers need to attend a minimum of one shift per week (8.30am - 2.30pm or 2.30pm - 8.30pm). Volunteers will work in our wildlife hospital under the guidance of one of our Veterinarians and/or an experienced volunteer.

Create your own volunteering opportunity with Adopt-A-Spot! Adopt-a-Spot is an anti-litter program that engages volunteers (individuals, community groups, business groups) to undertake coordinated litter clean-ups of designated sites in their communities. Sites include but are not limited to: roadsides, streets, parks, waterways, bush trails, beaches and wetlands. Participants are provided with tools and support and receive an adoption certificate to acknowledge their commitment.

The Cockburn Seniors Centre is looking for a long term kitchen hand to help keep the kitchen clean and well organised and to assist the Cook in the basic preparation of food.
Bring joy to the hearts of Cockburn Seniors by Centre providing instruction and guidance on singing to our Choir Members. The Seniors Choir sings Wednesdays morning's in a group setting in a fun, enjoyable and social environment. No qualifications are needed but some experience in vocal teaching or vocal skills to get members to participate and sing along together would be ideal, the ability to embrace joy and laughter in a group environment through excellent communication and facilitation.

Unlike zoos wildlife hospitals generally offer a 'hands off' wildlife experience. Even though animal handling/interaction is very low, you will have the opportunity to help sick and injured wildlife return to the wild. This process is crucial for their long-term survival and a privilege to experience.

Mercy Connect engages trained volunteers, with an educational background, to provide additional support and mentoring to asylum seeker, refugee, humanitarian visa students at a critical time in their settlement in Australia. Families from asylum seeker, refugee and/or humanitarian backgrounds are supported through improving their children’s capacity to negotiate the challenges of mainstream schooling and integrate into the wider Australian community.
