KIDS GO WILD EVENTS We are seeking a volunteer to help us run our monthly Kids Go Wild events. If you are a friendly nature loving local resident who is passionate about the Cockburn area we would love to hear from you.
Share your knowledge from your own lived experience of living with or caring for a child with a disability. The role is to create and maintain with the help of CCK 'Circles of Support' which will provide peer to peer support in village morning tea and children's play sessions.
This position will provide a gentleman within our residential aged care facility with an opportunity to get out for a coffee, to do a bit of shopping and/or visit the local men's shed. Important things that he would not be able to do otherwise.
This role will help build the Beeliar Community Voice's brand and membership and assist with representing the organisation at events. WA Wildlife is WA's only wildlife veterinary hospital and the busiest wildlife rehabilitation facility in WA. The Hospital admits approximately 4000 sick and injured animals each year that all require veterinary treatment and ongoing rehabilitation. The organisation receives no State or Federal government funding and relies on donations and fundraising to pay for the Hospital and Rehabilitation facility.
Provide basic gardening - lawnmowing services for frail aged and disabled clients. Working in teams of 2 or more the position duties are shrub pruning, lawn mowing, planting seedlings for client on occasion. Must be reliable.
Reliable and caring drivers to provide transportation needs e.g. medical, shopping, social and other appointments for the frail, aged and disabled clients. Most volunteers advise that they receive enormous satisfaction from providing help to our clients and this would be the primary benefit for volunteers. Vehicles are provided.
