CS#1 is looking for volunteers who enjoy walking, singing or playing the ukulele to assist those in our community to maintain an active social life through regular social outings and activities to promote wellbeing and social harmony within our community. The activities are held Monday through to Friday at various times. Volunteers assist the Support Workers, with group activities by providing a welcoming, nurturing environment.

We have a 95-year-old lady born in the Ukraine who would greatly benefit from social support visits. Our dear recipient converses in Polish and used to work on a farm and as a housemaid. She enjoys music, observing children and would greatly enjoy a visitor who is happy to chat in Polish. Weekly contact would be beneficial with a minimum 12-month commitment.
Make a difference in the lives of our aged care residents. Help our staff and volunteers take the residents to the club for lunch, the gallery for an exhibition, to the hall for a concert. Get to know the residents as they have fun exploring Canberra and enjoying its many events, exhibitions, food venues.
