Volunteer Drivers - Disability Programs
City of SalisburyThe 'Fun on Fridays' program is seeking volunteers to transport people with mild intellectual disability to attend social programs and provide program support.
Volunteers must have a current driver's license, have the confidence to drive a 10-seater commuter van.
Applicants must be willing to undertake a driver competency assessment and medical assessment (paid for by Council).
This role also requires volunteers to have current first aid certification. This training can be provided and cost covered by council.
Volunteers must also be patient, reliable and have good communication skills.
*Please Note: Recently the state government directed that TGA approved COVID19 vaccinations are mandatory for volunteers in certain programs where people are in contact with seniors and/or people with disability. This role is one that requires proof that you have had two doses and booster of an approved or recognised COVID19 vaccinations.
