Our volunteers are passionate about the community they live in and are happy to showcase the region to our visitors. The Visitor Information Centre intends to extend its function and provide a roaming Ambassador program at various locations throughout the Borough. Objectives: is to provide visitor information service to visitors, to provide referrals and assist in dispersing visitors across the Borough and the Bellarine. Key Responsibilities:

• staff the Pop Up Visitor Information Counter at identified locations
• provide customer service to visitors to the Borough of Queenscliffe
• refer non-visitor inquiries to the Visitor Information Centre Coordinator.
• adhere to BOQ procedures and Code of Conduct.

The Ambassador Service will operate five hours a day 10am - 3.00pm, over the December 2016 - January 2017 holiday period. There will be 2 rotating shifts of 2 ½ hours with two Ambassadors per shift at each site. The Ambassadors will be in uniform so they can be readily identified. Telephone contact support will be provided to the Roaming Ambassadors and Centre staff will also touch base with the ambassadors on site at least once a day.
