PETS AS THERAPY - CATS, RABBITS, GUINEA PIGS, PARROTS - with your own pet

You have found your way to us because you are a kind, caring, compassionate person and are looking for a meaningful way to "give back" to your community.
We recruit, train and manage Pets As Therapy volunteers to offer furry and feathered friendship and promote the value of the human / animal bond.
You'll be trained to a professional standard to offer physical, emotional and social therapeutic interactions with your darling pet, to vulnerable adults and children in hospitals, nursing homes, schools and other health care facilities.
Volunteers require a vehicle and driving license to transport their pet, and should be able to reliably commit to volunteering once or twice a month, mainly Monday - Friday though occasionally weekends, between 10.00 am - 2.00 pm on a regular basis.
Our volunteers are trained to a professional standard therefore, volunteers should be able, capable and willing to learn many new skills. Full training can take between 4 - 12 weeks depending on the skills level of the person and their pet on recruitment.
