Volunteering is a great way to help others while making friends.

By giving their time our volunteers have the opportunity to use their life experiences to benefit others, learn new skills, gain work experience, make new friends and have fun.

Different attributes are needed, involving: driving, arts and crafts, music and social outings, you may be interested in the following roles:

Arts & Craft - The volunteer will help organise and assist in arts & craft sessions with clients, activities may include drawing, painting, crochet, etc.

Social Support - The volunteer will socialise and interact with clients, helping to promote and encourage their independence and well-being. The volunteer will have the chance to take part and help in organizing exciting and interesting events & activities, and provide 'one to one' basis social and emotional support. Music - The role will actively support residents to attend and engage musical group meetings and support participants to learn and perform songs. The role will also encourage the participation of musicians or musical performances to perform for clients.

As a volunteer you are given training, work with staff supervision and are covered by Personal Accident, Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance. The time you contribute is up to you, whether it’s once a week, once a month or once a year on a special project. And we’re open to new ideas too, so tell us what you think.

Volunteering is subject to satisfactory Police check.
