Central Adelaide Palliative Care Services (CAPCS) provide palliative care services over a large geographical area in the western, city and eastern regions of the Adelaide metropolitan area. Our clients are from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

We are seeking Community Volunteers to provide services that 'fill the gaps' such as respite for carers, providing companionship and support, taking clients on outings, shopping or to appointments, or assisting with limited practical help at home. These services help clients and families to maintain quality of life and assist clients to remain at home for as long as possible.

If you have 4 hours per week available, plus time to attend a two day palliative care training course and quarterly team meetings, we encourage you to apply for this meaningful role.

Requirement: Listening skills, empathic, compassionate, ability to be present with people. Referee check is undertaken and volunteers must have own car (in good road worthy condition which is insured)
