Community Visitor - Hungarian background

We need people over 18 years of age who love to chat, are patient and enjoy the company of older people.

• By visiting you bring a little of the outside world into a residents life, improve their health and well-being.
• The Community Visitor Scheme connects people of the same or different cultures to older members of the community living in aged care homes. The following skills are highly desirable in a volunteer visitor:

• A genuine empathy and understanding of older people
• Good communication and listening skills
• The ability to work independently
• A commitment to developing a strong relationship with an older person and the CVS program
• Willingness to act with integrity, respect, confidentiality and dignity and the ability to be flexible Can you give 1-2 hours per week or fortnight ?
