If you’ve ever wanted to do something meaningful that genuinely helps families in your community, this is it.

Right now, 1 in 6 children in Australia are living in poverty and too many parents are forced to choose between putting food on the table and buying nappies.

By volunteering with The Nappy Collective, you’ll help ensure children in your community have the clean, dry nappies they need to stay healthy and happy. Your support provides dignity, relief and hope during incredibly tough times.

Since 2013, The Nappy Collective has distributed more than 10 million nappies to over 330,000 families across Australia. Through our network of collection points and local community partners, we ensure donated nappies reach the families who need them most.

What you’ll do as a volunteer

• Collect donated nappies from local collection points in your area (typically retail spaces such as Baby Bunting stores, childcare centres or MP offices)
• Sort and re-pack open packs at home (if needed)
• Deliver nappies to a nominated local community partner supporting families in crisis
• Be part of a passionate local team creating real, practical impact

Please note: We do not distribute nappies directly to families. Instead, we supply trusted local family support services that work directly with families in need.

What you need

• No special skills, just reliability, kindness and good communication
• Access to a car for collections and deliveries
• A valid Working With Children Check (free for volunteers in most states/territories)
