Stripe & Xero Integration Specialist

Recovere is a new global donation management platform that supports communities impacted by natural disasters, conflict, poverty, and humanitarian crisis. We work to ensure people receive exactly what they need with dignity, transparency, and no waste. The platform connects verified charities with donors of goods, funds, and local business support and is designed to operate globally with strong financial integrity and simple, efficient processes.
We are seeking a skilled volunteer with experience in Stripe and Xero integration. This is an important role that will help us set up accurate and automated financial systems before we launch. The work involves connecting Stripe, which we use to receive donations, to our accounting platform Xero. You will help us map the chart of accounts, set up the correct treatment for donations, fees, GST, foreign currency transactions, and campaign-based tracking, and ensure that incoming donations flow cleanly into Xero for reconciliation and reporting. You will also support us to set up the financial structure for separating relief funds from administrative funds and the two retained earnings categories required for ACNC reporting. Additional tasks include testing the integration, identifying any gaps, documenting the configuration, and helping our team understand how to maintain the system after it is set up.

It will help Recovere build responsible financial systems from the beginning, reduce manual rework, and ensure we can report clearly to auditors, donors, government agencies, and global partners. Most importantly, your contribution will support our ability to deliver fast, transparent, and well-tracked assistance to people affected by crisis. By establishing a strong financial foundation, you will be enabling Recovere to scale globally in a responsible, ethical, and sustainable way.
We are looking for someone with experience in Stripe and Xero integration. Additional experience in accounting, bookkeeping, GST and multi-currency payment flows. This role is suitable for accountants, bookkeepers, finance professionals, fintech specialists, or experienced volunteers with financial systems experience.
The time commitment is based on your speed and experince, but can be spread over weeks. The work is fully flexible and can be done remotely at any time that suits the volunteer.
