Candidates should have experience of participating in a drug and alcohol and/or mental health rehabilitation or support service. Prior Board experience is preferred but consideration will be given to candidates with some of the desirable skills listed below. Desirable Skill and Knowledge Areas: • knowledge of recovery and trauma informed practice • understanding of the non- government sector with networking and advocacy experience • understanding of corporate governance principles • computer literacy and familiarity with the Microsoft suite and video conferencing tools • the ability to communicate effectively and commitment to collaborative leadership • alignment with the vision and values of The Buttery A police check, NDIS screening check and working with children check are required.
