About the Role

DART Institute Australia Inc. is seeking a dynamic and well-connected Board Member to strengthen our philanthropic and corporate engagement strategies. This role is ideal for someone passionate about social impact, with a proven track record in fundraising, corporate partnerships, or philanthropy. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our resource base to support transformative work addressing family and domestic violence across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage your networks to build strategic partnerships with philanthropic organisations, corporations, and donors.
  • Support the development and execution of fundraising campaigns and corporate sponsorships.
  • Provide strategic advice on donor engagement, stewardship, and fundraising best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Board and Executive team to align fundraising goals with organisational priorities.
  • Champion DART’s mission and values within your networks, advocating for our work and impact.
  • Assist in identifying new funding opportunities and partnerships that can advance DART’s sustainability and growth.

Selection Criteria

  • Extensive experience in philanthropy, fundraising, corporate relations, or Strong network within corporate and philanthropic sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in securing funding or partnerships for nonprofit or social purpose organisations.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commitment to DART’s values of cultural safety, intersectionality, and trauma-informed practice.
  • Prior board or governance experience is highly desirable.
