About the opportunity
Primary Purpose of the Position
CHIRF (Community Health, Infrastructure and Resilience Fund) Inc. is a Mallacoota-based charity focused on improving local health and wellbeing. Since 2016, they’ve supported essential medical services, helped recruit doctors and delivered a modern medical centre for the community. They’re now expanding their impact through a new Ageing at Home service and a federally funded $2M Wellness Centre project, due for completion in 2027. CHIRF is also preparing to merge with another local charity under the new community brand Mallacoota Cares. To support this transition, they are refreshing their websites and require copywriting support to tell their story clearly—capturing their history, upcoming changes, current projects and key updates for stakeholders and funders. Some content will require Federal Government approval under our Play Our Way grant. This project will need to collaborate with another ABV volunteer (website developer) who will lead the upgrade of the website. The successful volunteer will prepare a written communications package for telling the story of CHIRF and their upcoming projects while honouring the organisations significant past successes.
Use your expertise to deliver meaningful change for a resilient rural community.
The tasks and deliverables of this Assignment are to create a series of key communication documents to clearly tell the story of CHIRF, the amalgamating partner, the brand name Mallacoota Cares, and their work, including:
• Website content: the Mallacoota Cares website will be consumer focused and the CHIRF website will be redesigned to focus on external stakeholders and funders
• Announcement of new Wellness Centre
