Allergy Life Australia is national charity that supports, enhances and advocates for the lives and lifestyles of those living with Allergies in Australia.

Allergy Life Health is one of Allergy Life Australia's key initiatives and is a purpose-built platform and a needs-based initiative to help Australians with allergies find dedicated Healthcare services in Australia for their Allergies.

Allergy Life Health is free for the community to use and free for Healthcare providers to list their services- it’s all about health awareness and enabling positive health outcomes for Australians with allergies.

THE ROLE

We are looking for expressions of interest for an Administration Officer to work with our team in administrative duties for our Allergy Life Health Initiative.

This role will involve listing management, emailing, reviewing and checking site details. There will be also site management involved, training will be provided.

The role will include tasks such as listing management, email correspondence, reviewing and checking site details, and website maintence (training will be provided).

Additional administrative tasks may also be assigned based on current project needs.

The successful candidate will need to have access to their own computer and a reliable internet connection.

This is not a paid position.

ABOUT YOU

  • You have allergies or you have an interest in helping people living with allergies
  • You have an Information Systems, Marketing, Communications, Health or Business education background or a related qualification
  • You have good attention to detail, strong written skills and verbal communication skills
  • You are fluent in English and can work autonomously and as part of a team
  • You are tech-savvy and have experience sending emails using different formats and styles (Gmail, Outlook, etc), using online programs like WordPress and Google Docs
  • You are professional and understand how to communicate and manage queries in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • You have a willingness to learn
  • You can apply for this role if this is your first position after completing your course and you want to get some experience

You will also receive training and support, especially if this is your first role. All volunteers will receive a certificate after a 6 month period, and they will be provided with a referral letter for any other positions they apply for.
