Gidget Foundation Australia is a national not-for-profit dedicated to supporting the emotional wellbeing of expectant, new and potential parents. We provide free psychological counselling, group programs, and peer support to those experiencing perinatal depression and anxiety. Our mission is to ensure that every parent receives timely, appropriate, and specialist care.

Become a Local Impact Gidget Volunteer!

As we expand our Gidget Houses across Australia, we are looking for passionate individuals to join our Local Impact Volunteer Team.

In this role, you will play a vital part in helping us reach parents in need within your local community. Your support will directly contribute to increasing awareness of our services and ensuring families know where to turn for help. By connecting with community groups, health professionals, and local networks, you’ll assist in driving referrals so that expectant, potential and new parents can access timely, tailored support. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a real difference, enjoys engaging with people, and wants to be part of a mission that strengthens the wellbeing of families across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and map community groups and health networks where parents are most likely to seek support.
• Learn about Gidget’s services through training and resources.
• Share informative and referral materials with healthcare providers and community groups.
• Build connections with local organisations to foster partnerships and collaborations.
