Join our Volunteer & Event Health Services (VEHS) team as a Leadership Coordinator and help build the next generation of St John leaders who save lives and serve communities.

About the Role

As our VEHS Leadership Coordinator, you'll be the driving force behind leadership excellence within our volunteer organization. You'll oversee the development and delivery of comprehensive leadership training programs that prepare our members to lead with confidence, competence, and compassion at events ranging from local community gatherings to major state-wide emergencies.

Working within our established VEHS structure, you'll collaborate closely with our State Training and Development Team to ensure our leaders are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and professional development they need to excel in their critical roles.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership Training Excellence

• Oversee development and delivery of leadership training programs across VEHS business units

• Ensure all leadership training meets high standards and best practice guidelines

• Design comprehensive induction programs for new leadership positions

• Maintain and enhance leadership scopes of practice requirements

Strategic Collaboration

• Work closely with the State Training and Development Team

• Collaborate with various business units and teams across the organization

• Build strong partnerships to identify leadership development needs and opportunities

Innovation & Professional Development

• Create engaging and innovative training solutions for diverse leadership roles

• Ensure leaders meet annual professional development requirements

• Support day-to-day training activities while driving continuous improvement

• Influence strategic projects to enhance the overall member experience

Organizational Impact

• Support metric outputs that demonstrate leadership training effectiveness

• Prepare and equip St John members to deliver excellence in leadership roles

• Contribute to our ability to respond effectively to both small and large-scale community events

• Help build leadership capacity that meets the dynamic needs of Victorian communities
