Board Member - Treasurer

Our Board plays a vital role in guiding VCC’s strategic direction and ensuring the sustainability of our services. Due to three board members coming to the end of their terms, we’re now seeking a passionate Treasurer to join our Board.
About the Role:

Must hold CPA qualifications.

Proven experience with financial oversight in the not-for-profit sector and familiarity with ACNC requirements.

Will collaborate closely with our experienced bookkeeper/finance officer to maintain strong financial governance.
What we're looking for:
We value Board members who bring a combination of strategic oversight, passion for the community, and a hands-on attitude. Ideal candidates will:
• Understand or be keen to learn about the Australian community and volunteer sector. • Be able to balance governance with practical, operational support. • Be effective communicators who value collaboration and inclusivity. • Previous board experience is welcomed but not essential.
Commitment & Term:
- Meetings are bi-monthly (every second month)
- Attend occasional subcommittee meetings and key VCC events.
- Standard Board term as per VCC constitution.
- These are volunteer roles (unpaid). Out-of-pocket expenses may be reimbursed upon agreement.
