Zumba Volunteer Instructor Wanted - Wesley School for Seniors

Are you passionate about fitness and love to dance? Do you have a heart to make a positive impact in our seniors’ community? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
We are seeking a volunteer Zumba Instructor who can bring energy, empathy, and expertise to our senior community. Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:
Passion and Empathy
·Heart for Seniors: You have a genuine interest in working with older adults. Your empathy and patience shine through when teaching seniors.
·Understanding Aging: You’re knowledgeable about age-related changes, common health conditions, and physical limitations that seniors may face.
Fitness and Health Knowledge
·Music knowledge and rhythm: Ability to follow the music and lead participants through dance moves.
·Adapting Choreography: Ability to modify Zumba moves to suit lower impact needs and potential limitations of older participants.
·Health Considerations: You understand the medical conditions or limitations that may affect your students and can adapt exercises accordingly.
·Formal Qualification: A recognised Zumba certification from a reputable training provider preferred.
Teaching Skills
·Clear Communication: You can explain exercises in simple terms. Seniors appreciate your clear instructions.
·Adaptability: You’re able to tailor your teaching approach to accommodate varying fitness levels and abilities.
·Motivation: You have a knack for encouraging and motivating seniors to stay active.

As a volunteer instructor, you’re committed to conduct:
· Weekly sessions lasting one hours.
· Anytime between 10am to 4pm from Monday to Friday.
Our school is conveniently situated in Sydney’s CBD, in close proximity to Town Hall or St James station.
